Lost Horse Lodge - King Cabin #12

I stayed in a single king bed cabin. Has 2 electric wall mounted heaters plus, a wood stove. Microwave and mini fridge only so bring a grill. I would recommend Lost Horse Lodge to vacationers looking for somewhere off the beaten path. Lost Horse Lodge is located about 4.6 miles west of US 93. Most of the road in is wide and in great condition. About 1 mile east of Lost Horse the road is Terrible. There are multiple upon multiple pot holes which get deep enough to make you worry about your vehicles health. Super friendly people. Great stay other than the road.

We loved our stay at Lost Horse Lodge. First, the location is perfect. Off the beaten path enough that it is quiet and secluded nestled in between nature and tall pines, but just a short ride into town to Darby. Shower was hot, heater was warm, fireplace roaring, bed big and comfortable. Plenty of hiking and wilderness exploring to do close by. It’s a magical spot and I can’t wait to go back. Note, there is no tv, but we brought a laptop. Great WiFi signal in cabin. Problem solved.

Memorable few nights in the Bitterroot valley. Positive: Clean, comfortable, quiet. Exactly like it looks in the pictures. Gas bbq grill was useful. Front porch was great. Negative: Gravel road up to the property was a bit bumpy for a couple of miles.
